grief can lead to growth

I will be holding a free bereavement workshop on Thursday, July 13th from 6:30pm to 8pm. I would like to emphasize grieving the loss of a spouse or partner for younger adults, but I invite anyone currently struggling with a loss to call me for more information, (including location). 718-788-4991.

General Group Information:

I am always taking names to form new groups. More information about the structure of my groups can be found further along on this page. Additionally, I generally facilitate a free bereavement workshop at Methodist Hospital in Park Slope for one evening each month, where you can meet me and get a feeling for the group therapy environment, as well as to begin your grief work. If you would like to be notified of the date of my next group or you are interested in attending the workshop, please call or e-mail me with your name and phone number.

Here's some of what you can expect in one of my groups:

  • Meet in 6-10 weekly sessions led by a compassionate and experienced grief professional.
  • Find the tools you need to help you grow and heal.
  • Share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
  • Talk with others in the same situation.
  • Learn more about what to expect from your grief.
  • Find healing and comfort through Alexander Technique and relaxation exercises.
  • Develop new rituals to organize your grief.

Groups generally meet on weekday evenings, from 7-8:30pm. The fee for a 6-week group is $210 and $350 for a 10-week group ($35 per session), which is fully reimbursable by most insurance companies. Payment in full is requested at or before the first session. Arrangements can be made in cases of hardship. Call me at 718-788-4991 to sign up for an upcoming group or to find out more.
